A Traditional wedding ceremony in #Ghana is done to legitimatise the marital relationship between couples. Trad weddings as its also called are done in different ways which varies from different ethnic groups in Ghana. A typical Ghanaian trad wedding features:

🍷 Bottles of gin or whisky as permission to speak to an elder in bride’s family, mostly done by the groom’s family.
🎁 Gifts for the Bride of the day usually in form of Accessories, Shoes, some pieces of trad wax print cloth. (Spoil her MEHN, it’s her day).
📖 Bible presented to the bride usually if she’s a Christian to help learn and read for blessings to keep her matrimony and home moving in the right direction both in good and bad times.
